Volunteer positions for Rugby World Cup

Volunteer positions for Rugby World Cup still available

ROTORUA 01.10.10: Local rugby fans keen to play a part in next year’s Rugby World Cup still have time to become volunteers for the Rotorua matches.

Interviews are being held over two days this week for those people who have already applied online to be Rugby World Cup 2011 volunteers. However there is still a chance for those who haven’t yet registered, to get involved.

Events & Venues event coordinator Amanda Hohneck is encouraging people who don’t want to miss out to simply turn up to the Rotorua Convention Centre on Thursday [4 November] between 2.30pm and 4pm, or Friday [5 November] between 6pm and 7pm and register for an interview.

“Volunteering is a fantastic opportunity for residents to be involved in one of the biggest sporting events our country has hosted.

“We still have positions to fill but people need to be quick as interviews have to be completed this week to allow time for training and uniforms to be organised.”
