Police were advised just after 4pm this afternoon of a two car head-on crash on Kaikokopu Rd, near Wanganui. A Subaru Imprezza collided with a Nissan Bluebird on the gravel road. A 74 year old female passenger in the Bluebird has died as a result of the crash. The driver of the Bluebird has been taken to Hospital with serious injuries and some of the five occupants of the Imprezza received minor injuries. The Police Serious Crash Unit are investigating and Police want to reiterate to the public the need to drive to the conditions.
