The Big Halloween at Capital E - Ghost busting in the Haunted Forest!
This year The Big Halloween sees Capital E transformed into a spooky Haunted Forest, home of mythical creatures and a Woodland Witch. Look out – you don’t want to make it into her kid stew!
Taking place 4pm – 8pm Sunday 31 October, and spilling out into Civic Square, this much-anticipated event offers a fully interactive and hugely enjoyable experience for the whole family.
On entering Capital E beware of the path you take. Discover the Zombie musicians as they play spooky music, or be amazed at the performances by daring acrobats flying overhead. Or will you be brave enough to go deep into the dark haunted forest and discover the home of the Woodland Witch? She lives in a Gingerbread House protecting a ghoulish collection of objects left by children she once captured! Legend has it she loves kid stew, but maybe this time it will be you that gives her a fright…
In Civic Square the adventures continue. Don’t miss everyone’s favourite Trick or Treat doors - will you be greeted by a hunchback or strike it lucky with a friendly fairy? Roving performers and live musicians will keep you entertained as you brave the fairground rides. This year there will also be a new game to fine-tune those handy Ghost Busting skills.
Capital E’s Events Manager Elise Goodge says, “The Big Halloween is my favourite event on our calendar… it is pure fun! People make a real effort with their outfits, we had some fantastic costumes last year and we are hoping for even scarier ones this time around.”
Capital E is famous for its entertaining and freaky Halloween celebrations. The Big Halloween provides a safe way for young people and their families to get together and thoroughly enjoy this special night. Last year the event attracted over 5,000 people. So find your witch’s outfit, magician’s wand or pixie hat and join the celebrations as Capital E transforms into a spectacularly spooky Haunted Forest. Frights and surprises guaranteed…
