What are Taranaki’s best kept secrets?
Residents are being asked to rank Taranaki’s top ‘Must Do’ experiences to help visitors sample the region’s best kept secrets.
The campaign is being run by the region’s tourism organisation Venture Taranaki and will develop a definitive map of the best attractions, locations and activities,
“We received hundreds of nominations of uniquely Taranaki things to see and do,” said Venture Taranaki tourism leader Paul Stancliffe.
“Through Facebook, Twitter, email and the region’s website, we received nominations for everything imaginable, from fish and chips on a Taranaki beach to a walk through the Goblin Forest to a helicopter flight around Mount Taranaki.”
“It has been a fantastic insight into what Taranaki people see as the best of our region, and we’re now asking them to rank the best.”
By visiting www.taranaki.info/visit/mustdo people can rank their favorite Taranaki experiences, and in the process go into the draw for an equally Taranaki prize pack. Voting is open until Sunday 24 October 2010.
“The top experiences will be used to develop a Must Do Map for visitors to the region, along with a range of digital marketing material, to ensure that visitors to Taranaki can access the very best of the region,” Paul said.
