Thames-Coromandel Mayoral race now down to five

With Murray McLean's withdrawal from the Mayoral race this week, five Mayoral candidates remain in the upcoming local government elections to be held on Saturday 9 October 2010.

There are now:
o Five nominations for Mayor
o Twenty three nominations for Councillor
o Thirty four nominations for community boards
o
(Sixty two nominations in 2010 compared to sixty in 2007))
