Boost for music therapy centre board
Hawkins Construction CEO Chris Hunter is joining the Board of Trustees supporting the country’s only dedicated music therapy centre.
The Raukatauri Music Therapy Trust supports Auckland’s Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre (RMTC). The trust welcomes Chris Hunter’s appointment and the extensive commercial experience he brings to the role.
Originally from Wellington and father to three young daughters, Mr Hunter is a Registered Quantity Surveyor and also holds an MBA from Massey University.
Asked about his motivation for joining the board, Mr Hunter puts it simply.
“I would like to help the children. The RMTC is a very worthy cause and I want to add value to the Trust where I can.”
Mr Hunter’s role predominantly involves fundraising but he would love to help with the building of a new facility at the right time.
“I believe the board and its members have played a fantastic role to date and I’m aiming to complement their work and add as much value as possible through my experience and wide ranging networks.”
For further information about its activities and how to support the Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre, please visit www.rmtc.org.nz. Donations can also be made through the website.
