North Shore City Powerball Player Scores $13.8 Million Prize

As the All Whites finish their dream run at the Football World Cup, a lucky Powerball player who bought a ticket in North Shore City will have all their dreams come true after scoring $13.8 million with Lotto and Powerball First Division this week, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

The winning Powerball ticket was sold at Magazine City & Lotto in North Shore City and is worth a total of $13,854,687 million, with $13,290,012 million from Powerball First Division and $564,675 from Lotto First Division.

Three other players from Waikatere, North Shore City and Warkworth also won a $564,675 share of Lotto First Division tonight. The winning tickets were purchased Kelston Copy & Lotto in Waitakere, Albany Highway Superette & Lotto in North Shore City and Franklins Pharmacy in Warkworth.

A Strike Four prize of $372,390 was also won by a player who purchased their ticket from Otaki Post and Lotto.

Tonight’s other big winner was Annette McPherson from Putaruru, near Tokoroa, who spun up a $200,000 prize on Lotto’s Winning Wheel.

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.

Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was sold at Greenwoods Paper Power, Epsom, in Auckland The serial number is 760-44907776-20xx.

“Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any NZ Lotteries outlet,” Mr McLeay said.
