Calling all Tall Poppies
The hunt is on again for the Far North’s tall poppies, in this year’s Top Energy Tall Poppy Business Awards.
Set up to recognise and celebrate excellent business practice, the annual Tall Poppy Business Awards are contested
throughout the region and have been sponsored by local lines company, Top Energy since 2003.
Entry categories for this year’s Awards include Tourism & Hospitality, Service Industry, Retail, Manufacturing & Primary, Building, Construction & Development, Trusts / Charities & Not-for-profit Organisations and Emerging Business.
Winning a Tall Poppy Business Award offers recipients many tangible rewards, including:

This year’s Awards will again be judged by a panel of three independent judges; Jacky Stevens (Business Consultant),
Maurice Penney (Top Energy Consumer Trust, Deputy Chairman) and Gary Gabbitas (FNDC Economic Development Officer).

Entries close 5:00p.m. Friday 23 July 2010. Judging takes place during August and September and Award winners will be
announced at the Awards Presentation & Dinner on Saturday, October 2.
