Councillor resigns from Manukau City Council

Councillor Hugh Graham has today tendered his resignation to Manukau City Council CEO, Leigh Auton.

Mayor Len Brown said the resignation has been accepted and is effective immediately.

“Cr Graham has made a huge contribution to our council, the wider community and in particular has been a conduit and voice for the Cook Islands people living in Manukau.

“The Cook Islands is now where Cr Graham plans to spend his time and will turn his attention to gaining a seat in the Cook Islands parliament.

“We wish Cr Graham well in his future endeavours,” says Mr Brown.

The council will now determine what will be done with the Mangere ward vacancy left by Cr Graham.
