New House and Mortgage Free Up Wgtn Winners
New House and Mortgage Free the Plans for Wgtn Winners
Two shocked Lotto players from Wellington have now claimed their $500,000 shares of Lotto First Division, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.
One winner, who bought his ticket at Karori Mall Take Note & Lotto, could not believe his eyes and had to get his glasses on when ‘Division One Winner’ flashed up on the in-store ticket checker.
“My vision was so blurry, that I wasn’t sure I was reading things right. It was such a shock to then put my glasses on and realise I really was a big winner,” he said
“My first thought was to call my wife. Then my second thought was I must call the bank. I keep thinking ‘mortgage free, mortgage free’, at last.
“After paying off the bank we will also have enough left over to take a family holiday to catch up with relatives overseas,” he said.
“I don’t have to go to bed tonight dreaming that I should win Lotto, because I now have!” he said.
The second winner, who bought her ticket at Whitcoulls Cuba Mall, has been a loyal Lotto player since day one.
She is currently renting and plans to finally buy her house with this windfall. “I have already got all the real estate magazines to start shopping. It will be lovely for my family to finally have their own place,” she said.
