First Batch Of Iconic Biccies Up For Grabs

It's been almost a year since New Zealand’s most iconic biscuits were last available, and TradeMe has the very first batch up for auction.
Fresh out of the oven, the first batch of Girl Guide biscuits for 2010 is exclusively available for one lucky bidder.

The annual Girl Guide biscuit-selling fundraiser kicks off in March, so this first batch of biscuits will taste better with the knowledge that they’re the only ones available in the country before they officially go on sale in just over four weeks.

Simply visit TradeMe.co.nz and search for “Girl Guide Biscuits”. The box contains 15 packets of the delicious biscuits that would normally retail for $45.00. All proceeds from the auction will go to GirlGuiding NZ, a registered charity. The biscuit-selling campaign is how they raise almost 50 per cent of their funds.

This year GirlGuiding has also enlisted the help of former Girl Guides, Allyson Gofton, Bernice Mene and fashion designer, Sera Lilly, in recruiting a ‘Girl-Guide biscuit-selling army’. Anyone who joins the army to help sell Guide biscuits will get a special keepsake badge designed by the three celebrities. Register your interest at www.girlguidearmy.co.nz.

ENDS.
