Whitby Village Fair
10am – 3pm
Saturday 5 December

The first Whitby Village Fair will be held on Saturday 5 December 2009,
between the hours of 10am – 3pm, on the grass areas beside the Whitby Village Lagoon.

A special feature of this event is the focus on quality stalls. Stallholders can only display or sell quality, hand-made, local, or NZ crafts; unless they are locals, who can join in with any of their contributions!

The Fair will have a range of food stalls, and a variety of childrens' rides and activities. Entry is free.

Community participation of all kinds is especially encouraged and welcome. Local groups are invited to have a stall, or to perform. Information stalls are free, and charity and local community group stalls are half price. This is a great chance to promote your club to prospective new members, show the community your dance moves, share your singing talent, demonstrate your culture's costumes and dances, raise funds with a jumble stall, and a range of other opportunities to share your activities with the rest of your community.

If the weather is poor, the event will be cancelled. There is no postponement date. Call 384-1998 from 7am on the day of the event for cancellation details.
