Title: Police Warn Against Strong Winds
Southern District police are warning motorcyclists travelling south to the Burt Munro Memorial Event in Invercargill this weekend to be wary of strong winds which are currently buffeting Southland and Otago.
"Although there have been no crashes, reports from police staff working today tell us that motorcyclists are being affected by strong winds. Riders are reminded to take extra care on the road, slow down and be aware of wind gusts," said Southern District Road Policing Manager, Inspector Andrew Burns.
"We want everyone to have a great weekend down there and to arrive safely," he said.
