Spartacus R
Wellington six-piece groove-laden psychonauts Spartacus R have forged a sound that is simply unlike any other in New Zealand – matched with a mind-blowing and original live performance. Based on a foundation of blues, psychedelic rock and funk, Spartacus R engineer a set of sprawling and organic soundscapes that explore new aural territory. Having released their debut album When the Fever Takes Hold, the band has been described as 'beautifully atmospheric' and cinematic, making them Aotearoa's equivalent to an avant garde orchestra. Be prepared to be, as the New Zealand Herald says, ‘strangely enthralled’.
