Aggravated burglary at BP Mana, Porirua
Porirua Police are seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery in the early hours of 13 November 2009 at BP Mana, Porirua.
At approximately 2am, three males drove to the closed, unoccupied service station. Two of the males got out of the car and fired a shotgun to shatter the store's front window. They fired a second round while inside the store while attempting to access the safe before driving away.
The vehicle the males used had been stolen from Whitby about 15 minutes before the incident and was set alight and abandoned near the water-ski club on Grays Road, Camborne.
The descriptions of two of the suspects are as follows:

Male Caucasian or light skinned Maori/Pacific Islander
Blue and white hooded sweatshirt with horizontal stripes
on the body and vertical stripes on the hood.
Greenish-grey balaclava with large eye holes
Red
dishwashing gloves
Dark blue jeans
Black shoes with
white soles
Carrying a black bag
2. Male Caucasian or
light skinned Maori/Pacific Islander
Blue/grayish rain
coat
Back balaclava
Black gloves
Gold coloured
watch on right wrist
Dark blue jean
White shoes
Carrying a shotgun
Porirua Police would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed or heard anything suspicious between 1.30am and 2.30am. Potential witnesses include nearby residents and early morning workers such as delivery, transport and service industry staff that work at this time of night may be able to assist.
