A New Zealand First at Christchurch Casino
To
celebrate the newly refurbished gaming floor, Christchurch
Casino has introduced a New Zealand first table game –
Three Card Poker.
Making its debut in the country, Three Card Poker is a fun and easy to play card game that has grown in popularity around the world. The anticipation of its launch and arrival indicates the opportunity identified by the Casino. Brett Anderson says of the game, “Three Card Poker is among one of the most popular versions of poker internationally – we’re excited to offer our customers the only opportunity to experience the game right here at the Home of New Zealand Poker”.
“It’s a fun game that’s not only easy to learn, it is great fun to play. Unlike other versions of poker, you’re actually playing against the dealer and you can essentially play two games in one”, continues Anderson.
“Much of the popularity of Three Card Poker comes from the simplicity of the game. Since you are not playing against the other players a camaraderie can develop amongst the players as they root and cheer for each other to beat the dealer”, said Anderson.
Along with the country’s first host of Three Card Poker, Christchurch Casino was also the first Casino in New Zealand to introduce poker to its gaming floor 12 years ago.
Christchurch Casino hosts the annual New Zealand Poker Champs, one of the most anticipated events on the sport’s calendar in the Asia-Pacific rim, 9-18 April 2010.
