Pacific perspective on Govt's proposed Ak Council
Pacific perspective on the Government's proposed Auckland Council
We the Pacific Islanders and our followers support the concept of a Auckland Council as proposed by the Government on April 7, on Auckland Governance for the following reasons:-
*The Government as pragmatically, democratically and effectively fine tuned the Royal Commission into Auckland Governance Report
*Wastage of valuable resources would be diminished substantially thus enhancing economics of scales
*Getting rid of the suffocating red tapes and unnecessary repetitive reports that even the authors get bored writing it
*The resources saved and passed on to our community would enable them to use it for their families well-being and progress
*Pacific Islanders can look forward to being factory owners instead of factory workers
*We can look forward to making extensions to our houses without unnecessary various district and city councils controls instead of letting our families live in garages that result in severe health problems for them
*With extended housing that will result in the well-being of our communities, we would be saving our government millions of dollars in health expenditure
*Gives opportunities for Pacific Islanders and other ethnic groups to stand for the post of the Major of the Auckland Council as we have talented people who are willing to give it a go.
*Less intrusion in our lives and more control and choices by us to move forward for the greater good of our Auckland City and our great country
Thank you.
Kind regards.
