Encourage visitors to Have their Say in Queenstown

Encourage visitors to Have their Say in Queenstown

The Tourism NZ ‘Have Your Say’ mobile studio has been scouring the country this summer collecting visitors’ stories of their time in New Zealand.

Queenstown visitors have the chance to have their say in Tourism New Zealand’s mobile studio this week.

The mobile studio will be filming in Queenstown from Wednesday 25 March to Saturday 28 March and then in Arrowtown on Sunday 29 March. This is a great opportunity for visitors to our region to ‘rave’ about their time here and share their experiences with friends and family all around the world.

We encourage you to spread the word, so make sure you send your customers along and encourage them to have their say!

The mobile studio will be in our region on the following dates:

Wednesday 25 March to Saturday 28 March – Earnslaw Park – midday to 7pm

Sunday 29 March – bus park behind Ramshaw Lane in Arrowtown – 11am to 6pm

The ‘Have your say’ concept is the next step in the ‘What Do You Say, UK?’ campaign, which launched in the UK in September last year. The campaign is based on research that found word-of-mouth recommendations are among the strongest motivators for British travellers when they are thinking about a holiday in New Zealand.

While the initiative has been designed to reach the UK market, it is reaching more than just the friends and relatives of visitors from the UK. International visitors from anywhere in the world are welcome to record a video diary, which will be posted on the ‘Have Your Say’ YouTube channel.

The mobile studio - a distinctively branded converted shipping container on the back of a flat-bed truck, complete with giant tui nest – allows visitors to record a video ‘rave’ about their New Zealand holiday. These video diaries are emailed out immediately to friends and family, and then broadcast on a special ‘Have Your Say’ YouTube channel.
