All councillors invited to Mulberry Place landslip

All councillors invited to Mulberry Place landslip site

I have sent all North Shore City Councillors the following message inviting them to view this threatening situation at 4pm today Monday 2nd March

Sent to all councillors...
If it was your property..
...and the council held information on the stability of your land [plus the council's adjacent land] wouldn't you want to get your hands on that information right away.?

And if heavy weather was forecast - wouldn't you be seriously worried - and stressed - if there had been a history of 35 years of instability on that land which successive councils had failed to correct and stop?

And if you were refused that information - because they want another consultant to 'peer review' it - wouldn't you be hopping mad?

And if you were looking down on two house which had been condemned and you saw trees moving - threatening your already severely damaged driveway - wouldn't you be seriously alarmed and fearful.

And wouldn't you want that 'confidential report' even more - so that you could see exactly what the risk was to your property?

Wouldn't you want all those councillors to came and see the damage already done and the obvious threats to stability of the whole area?

Or would you accept that they sat on their chuffs and said - 'there is nothing we can until the peer review has been completed'?

Would you accept the offer of mediation which was pre-set at 5 x 3-hour sessions - 'because this is what we did at Torbay' - when you know your situation is quite different to the Lingam Crescent landslip?

On behalf of the residents I invite you all to visit the site at 1 Mulberry Place this afternoon at 4.pm - at which time it would seem there are no scheduled meetings.
