Vote for Manukau’s best eye
Manukau Libraries’
inaugural teen photo competition All Eyes on Manukau
attracted more than 60 entries The judge, up-and-coming
photographer, Vinesh Kumaran has selected 10 photos for the
semi-finals. These photos are now on display in all Manukau
libraries and can also be viewed on the libraries’
website.
While the overall winner will be judged by Mr Kumaran, the public have a chance to vote for their favourite image in the People’s Choice Award. The prize for the overall winner is a digital camera, while the People’s Choice winner receives a digital photo frame.
Jody Gayton, Literacy and Learning Coordinator for Manukau Libraries is delighted with the response to the competition.
“The images show a wide variety of interests, activities and relationships happening in Manukau. From break dancing to school sports days and friendships, they provide a wonderful record of the vibrancy and positivity of our city through the eyes of our youth,” says Ms Gayton.
