The Litterbugs - making conservation lessons fun
The Litterbugs - making conservation lessons fun
Looking to entertain the children in the summer holidays? Come along to The Litterbugs a hilarious short play about a technology-obsessed family of litterbugs who go camping for the first time and what happens to them when a park ranger teaches them a lesson.
This free production is presented by Nathan Homestead Performing Arts and Manukau Parks and is part of the centre’s January school holiday programme Conservation Fun Day.
Manukau City Council Park Ranger Kristen Ross says, “As well as providing great school holiday entertainment The Litterbugs teaches conservation to children in an enjoyable, fun way and leaves them with some important messages about keeping the park environment litter-free and taking their rubbish home when they leave”.
The production is performed by students from the homestead’s performing arts programme under the directorship of Daryl Wrightson.
