Santa Claus is coming to town – Jingle all the way with MAXX
On Sunday 30th November, leave the sleigh at home and take the bus, ride the train or cruise the ferry with the family to the 75th annual Auckland Farmers’ Santa Parade: the event, which begins at 2pm, promises to be one of the biggest and most magical in its history.
Additional train services will be operating on all three lines before and after the event.  For those who live in Helensville, Waimauku and Huapai, and for those who live in Pukekohe, there will be special return train services to Britomart.
Normal fares apply on all train services, and families using the train to get to the Santa Parade can take advantage of the special $20 Family Pass (valid for return travel for one adult and five children, or two adults and four children). These can be pre-purchased at the Britomart and Papakura Ticket Offices. Rail passengers are advised to ensure that they have their tickets available for inspection as ticket checks will take place en route to the parade and at Britomart.
Regular bus and ferry services will be operating to the parade. Some bus operators are putting on additional capacity. Normal bus and ferry fares will apply, and group and family passes are available on most services.
Aucklanders on their way to see Santa this Sunday are advised to plan their travel carefully and allow plenty of time for their journey.  Bus passengers should please be advised that due to the parade, some bus stops in the city centre may differ.  Vector upgrade works on the waterfront may also cause traffic delays.
