Manukau Libraries extends loan period for Christmas holidays
Manukau Libraries are extending their loan period this festive season giving residents one less thing to worry about over the Christmas holidays.
Service Development Manager for Manukau Libraries Kirsty McMillan says the initiative will help customers reduce stress and give them more time to enjoy their library books, magazines, DVDs and other items during what is undoubtedly the busiest time of the year.
“Library staff wish all their customers a very merry Christmas. We hope this extension will mean they have a more relaxing summer holiday.
“Books which are normally loaned for 28 days become 45 day loans on items issued between 25 November and 24 December. There will also be extended loan arrangements for other items. Ask library staff for more details.
“Remember to check your issue receipt for details in order to avoid any late fees and then sit back and enjoy your summer reads”, says Kirsty.
