Manukau City Residents Get Unique Cinema Deluxe Experience

SKYCITY Cinemas opened its new flagship 10-screen multiplex at Westfield Manukau City to the public this weekend and with it came a movie experience that locals have never seen at their local cinema before.

The new multiplex with a capacity of 1,932 cinema seats offers eight mainstream auditoria and two premium Cinema Deluxe auditoria plus a digital cinema system capable of showing films in 3D, a licensed bar, function room and a Time Out interactive games area.

Cinema Deluxe brings a new cinema experience to Auckland comprising of two dedicated auditoria seating 78 and 62 guests, respectively. Luxury reclining chairs ensuring every seat is literally the best in the house. The full-sized auditoria boast wall-to-wall screens and state-of-the-art digital sound, giving guests a big-screen experience in an intimate environment. Guests will have a broad selection of food and dining options, along with a fully-licensed bar featuring a selection of fine wines, beers, soft drinks, juices and coffee.

SKYCITY Cinemas General Manager, Jane Hastings, says "Manukau City residents will now have a whole new movie experience of luxury and comfort never offered in Auckland before."

Cinema Deluxe is also available for private functions, a popular option for client or staff entertainment for local businesses.
