NZ’s only secondary school to offer fulltime dance puts on major dance performance
Hagley Community College, the only secondary school in New Zealand offering a full time dance course, will put on a major dance performance in Christchurch later this month.
The Hagley Dance Company, in its ninth year, will be staging the multi-media dance event at Hagley Community College from August 26 to 28.
The event is named: Through the glass - - the next step.
The choreography has been arranged by Fleur De Their, Megan Platt, director Sheryl Robinson and Julia Milsom, who was voted best female contemporary dancer last year.
Many of the students are also choreographing a majority of the pieces.
Robinson said the ground-breaking performance would be a step up on last year’s show.
