The Community Facilities Partnership scheme supports the development of multi-use community facilities. The scheme is intended to support community groups to obtain grants from other funding organisations. To be eligible, the proposed project must be located on a Manukau City Council reserve.
Chair of the Grants and Events Sub-Committee, Councillor Hugh Graham says, “The committee is pleased to provide funding and support to these sporting groups. They make a big difference to communities across the city and contribute enormously to the health of Manukau residents by encouraging them to be more active.”
The funding awarded from the Community Facilities Partnership Scheme was agreed by council as part of the 2008/09 Annual Plan.
