SH20 Manukau Harbour Crossing traffic bulletin

Sunday 11 - Thursday 15 May

Transit New Zealandadvises motorists of the following upcoming closures for work on the Southwestern Motorway (SH20) as part of the Manukau Harbour Crossing project.


Closures will be in place for one or two nights between Sunday 11 May and Thursday 15 May:


·       Rimu Road/Mahunga Drive eastbound lanes between the Coronation Road roundabout and Miro Road closed each night from 9pm until 5am for barrier movement and road construction.

Access to the Rimu Roadnorthbound on-ramp will also be restricted as part of this closure.

Detour via Coronation and Walmsley Roads to Mahunga Drive.

·       Walmsley Road southbound off-ramp closed each night from 9pm until 5am for roadmarking and barrier movement.

Detour via Rimu Road/Mahunga Driveoff-ramp to Mahunga Driveand Walmsley Road.

·       Coronation Road northbound on-ramp closed each night from 9pm until 5am for barrier movement and screen installation.

Detour via Coronation Roadto Rimu Roadnorthbound on-ramp.

·       Rimu Road/Mahunga Drive southbound off-ramp closed each night from 9pm until 5am for barrier movement.

Detour via Walmsley Roadoff-ramp to Mahunga Drive.

If any of the contingency dates are required then all scheduled work will be reviewed to ensure no two consecutive ramps or interchanges are closed at the same time.

Motorists are advised to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in place.  Transit New Zealandregrets any inconvenience caused.
