MAXX to Waitangi Day Festival – and be in to win a monthly Discovery Pass

Aucklanders travelling by bus, train or ferry to celebrate Waitangi Day 2008 at Okahu Bay could win one of five monthly Discovery passes, worth $210 each. To be in to win, festival goers should keep their public transport ticket and present them to the festival organisers when requested.

More details about how to win a monthly Discovery pass can be found at www.nativenoise.co.nz

Passengers planning to use public transport to the Waitangi Day celebration are advised that a public holiday timetable will be operating on Wednesday 6 February 2008.

Regular bus routes 746, 756, 767 and 769 will leave Britomart Stop D13 for Mission Bay, travelling via Tamaki Drive. Passengers are advised that Tamaki Drive (between Ngapipi Road and Patterson Avenue) will be temporarily closed between 8.30am and 11.00am and there will be bus diversions in place.

Festival goers can also catch a train to Britomart or a ferry to the Downtown Ferry Terminal, and then take a bus from Britomart stop D13 to Mission Bay (via Tamaki Drive).

Aucklanders planning to use public transport to and from the Waitangi Day celebrations at Okahu Bay Domain can get more information from MAXX on (09) 366 6400 or at www.maxx.co.nz
