Tickets on Sale for Bluff Oyster & Food Festival

Tickets for the 2008 Bluff Oyster & Food Festival, scheduled for Saturday 24 May, have gone on sale.

Festival Chairman, John Edminstin made the announcement after the new Festival Committee had quickly put the major details for the event in place.


Mr Edminstin also gave details on ticket prices and booking procedures, details that are keenly awaited by many people.

Adults tickets for the event will cost just $15 each while tickets for children 12 & under will sell at $5 each.

Tickets will be available from the Invercargill City Council Booking Office in Invercargill, the Bluff Service Centre in Bluff and Ticket Direct outlets. Bookings can be made at 03 211 1692 or 0800 224 224 or via www.ticketdirect.co.nz or at bluffoysterfestbookings@icc.govt.nz

The Festival will take place in a new venue on Foreshore Road, adjacent to the Old Town Wharf. The venue will incorporate a building kindly loaned for the occasion by Stewart Island Experience which will be complemented by marquees. The doors will open at the new venue for the 2008 event at 11.00am on Saturday 24 May.


Expect a great selection of food including some non-seafood items and beverage plus many of the favourite activities and competitions of past Festivals.
