Offenders Throw Stolen Motorbikes Off The Back Of Truck To Evade Police

Incident Type: Offenders throw stolen motorbikes off the back of truck to evade Police
Police located and pursued a small truck near Wanganui last night after a motorcycle dealers premises was burgled in the city at about 0200.
Police located offenders driving the truck. The truck contained stolen motor bikes. The vehicle refused to stop and was pursued by Police.
In an effort to evade Police the offenders pushed 7 stolen Mini-Cross and adult bikes off the back of the truck. This blocked the road and Police lost sight of the truck.
Police located the truck abandoned sometime after the pursuit and a dog handler tracked for over an hour near Fordell, Wanganui.
Offenders have not been located and inquiries are continuing.
