Northland Electricity Helicopter Appeal
Northland Electricity Helicopter Appeal – only one
week to go!
The 2007 Electricity Rescue Helicopter
Appeal is nearing an end and with only seven days left
Northlanders still have an opportunity to push the Appeal
figure up and over the target.
The Appeal has raised $121,535 to date but this is still short of the $150,000 target.
However, the 2007 Appeal is pulling in funds a little quicker than in 2006 with the figure this time last year being $118,428.
Top Energy and Northpower are ready and waiting to match public donations, dollar for dollar, up to $150,000. Already, the sponsors have met the cost of the appeal campaign, so that 100% of all money raised by the public goes to supporting the service.
Northpower’s Marketing Manager Darren Mason reiterates that Northlanders have the opportunity to raise twice the targeted amount for the Electricity Rescue Helicopter.
“The Appeal is nearing an end. We are short of the $150,000 target and need those public contributions. Whatever amount the public donates, Top Energy and Northpower WILL DOUBLE,” he said.
Over 180,000 appeal envelopes were delivered to Northland homes and the newly introduced mobile phone texting option has been successful. In addition to the donation forms, or making donations through any Northland ASB Bank, people can text the word CHOPPER to 4483 from their mobile phone and $3 will automatically be transferred to the Appeal fund.
Come on board Northland! Make a donation at any Northland ASB Bank or get texting - to help keep our chopper in the air.
