This
weekend’s Air NZ Cup final – use public
transport
On Saturday 20 October, rugby lovers heading
to the Air New Zealand Cup final between Auckland and
Wellington can leave the car at home and catch the bus or
train to Eden Park, which is just five minutes’ walk from
Kingsland train station.
Additional train services to and from the Air New Zealand Cup final will be operating on the Eastern and Western Lines. Western Line passengers are advised that bus replacements are in place between Waitakere and Henderson.
Southern Line train passengers are reminded that a bus replacement service will be operating for all stations between Otahuhu and Britomart this Labour Weekend as the Newmarket station redevelopment continues. Where buses replace trains, normal train fares will apply for the entire journey.
Regular bus routes 23- and 24- run from Victoria Street West approximately every 15 minutes to Sandringham Road by Eden Park.
Dominion Road services (routes 25- and 26-) run approximately every 10 minutes from the St James stop on Queen Street.
Normal bus and train fares from all stations apply.
Passengers should check bus and train timetables carefully before travelling and ensure they allow plenty of time to plan their journeys.
