Across the Great Divide with MAXX

On Saturday 20 October, rock fans can catch the bus, train or ferry to Silverchair and Powderfinger’s Across the Great Divide tour at Vector Arena, which is just 10 minutes’ walk from Britomart Transport Centre and the Downtown Ferry Terminal.

The Link bus, which stops on Beach Road close to Vector Arena, is a good way to get to the concert. Passengers can catch The Link from various locations around the CBD, Parnell, Newmarket, Karangahape Road and Ponsonby. The cash fare is $1.60 one way.

Fans are advised to allow plenty of time to get to Vector Arena in time for the concert.

After the show finishes at 10.50pm, train services from Britomart will be operating until 11.40pm on the Eastern Line and until just after midnight on the Western Line. On the Western Line, the usual Saturday bus replacements between Henderson and Waitakere will be in place.

Southern Line train passengers are reminded that a bus replacement service will be operating for all stations between Otahuhu and Britomart this Labour Weekend as the Newmarket station redevelopment continues. A RAIL BUS will leave Britomart bus stop D15 (Commerce St) for Otahuhu at 11.58pm Where buses replace trains, normal train fares will apply for the entire journey.

Regular ferry services from Auckland to Devonport will be running until approximately 1.00am, and NiteRider buses will leave from the Civic and St James between 1am and 3am.

Normal bus, train and ferry fares will apply.

Aucklanders can get more information about public transport services to the Silverchair/Powderfinger concert from MAXX on (09) 366 6400 or at www.maxx.co.nz
