What’s on at Wellington’s world-first wildlife sanctuary this spring?
Sanctuary events are a fun way to find out about New Zealand’s native wildlife. Just five minutes drive or a short bus ride from central Wellington, Karori Sanctuary is a great place to learn & explore our natural world together as a family. Check out what’s on in September and October…
Hop To It: Freddo Native Frog Roadshow
Sat
22 – Wed 26 September, 11am - 2pm daily
Stuck for something to do with the kids this School Holidays? Why not hop along to the Sanctuary to meet Freddo and find out about New Zealand's native frogs?
New Zealand frogs are among the most endangered species in the world. They need all the help they can get, so Karori Sanctuary is partnering with Cadbury Freddo Frog to support and promote frog conservation.
Freddo will be at the Sanctuary from 11am - 2pm every day from Saturday 22 - Wednesday 26 September. Check out Freddo's Lily Pad, with fun, interactive activities such a listening station where you can hear what a frog sounds like, and a touch post to experience what a frog feels like.
Spider Day
