buses and trains take Warriors fans to Mt Smart
Rugby league fans can avoid parking hassles and hop onboard a special bus or train to Mt Smart Stadium to watch the Vodafone Warriors take on the Parramatta Eels, kicking off at 8.30pm this Friday.
Additional train services will be operating on the Southern Line, with trains leaving approximately every 20 minutes from 6.50pm to take Warriors fans from Papakura to Penrose train station. Frequent regular train services will depart Britomart for Penrose approximately every 10 to 15 minutes. Fans should allow plenty of time to get to their seat, as it is a 15-minute walk from Penrose train station to the stadium.
After the game finishes at approximately 10.10pm, trains will leave Penrose for Britomart at 10.30pm and 10.43pm. South-bound trains will depart Penrose for Papakura at 10.29pm and 10.45pm.
Normal train fares apply.
A special bus service will take fans from Manukau City Centre directly to Mt Smart Stadium. The buses leave stop A at the Manukau City Centre (Leyton Way) at 6.00pm, 6.30pm and 7.00pm. After the game, buses will depart from O’Rorke Road and return to Manukau City Centre.
Tickets will be available from the bus driver. The one-way cash fare is $4.30 for adults and $2.40 for children. Passengers are advised that Stagecoach passes can’t be used onboard the special buses.
