International blues festival lands at Skycity theatre

From 21-23 September, SKYCITY Theatre presents a weekend of traditional and contemporary blues music by international headline acts.

Famed blues performers from the Great Southern Blues and Rockabilly Festival in Australia join forces with Kiwi blues legends in one of the greatest concerts the International Blues Festival has to offer.

Featuring performances by the legendary Rod Piazza & The Mighty Flyers, award winning Watermelon Slim & The Workers, the fabulous Holmes Brothers and a Gospel Blues Concert with the Heaven Bent Choir and the Calvary Gospel Choir

Plus performances by New Zealand Blues artists Midge Marsden, Hammond Gamble, the Darcy Perry Blues Band, Bullfrog Rata and a workshop and concert with New Zealand Blues guitarist Billy T K Junior.

The festival runs at SKYCITY Theatre from Friday, September 21 to Sunday September 23. Book your tickets at SKYCITY or at TICKETEK.
