BUSWAY TRAFFIC BULLETIN: SATURDAY 18 TO FRIDAY 24 AUGUST

Transit New Zealandadvises motorists of next week’s proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for Northern Buswayconstruction (weather permitting).

ONEWA RD

Monday 20 – Wednesday 22 August (contingency 23 August)

Onewa Rdnorthbound off-ramp closed 10pm – 5amfor trenching works and road sealing.

·      Sylvan Ave northbound and southbound and Onewa Rdeastbound and westbound from Bruce St to the motorway will also be closed at the same times

·      Diversion via Northcote Rd northbound off-ramp and Lake Rd

ESMONDE RD

Monday 20 – Tuesday 21 August (contingency 22 and 23 August)

Esmonde Rdnorthbound on-ramps closed 10am – 3pmfor landscaping.

·      Diversion via Northcote Rd northbound on-ramp

NORTHCOTE RD

Sunday 19 August (contingency 20 and 21 August)

Northcote Rdsouthbound off-ramp closed 10pm – 5amfor barrier modifications.

·      Diversion via Esmonde Rd southbound off-ramp.

TRISTRAM AVE

Wednesday 22 – Thursday 23 August (contingency closure)

Tristram Avesouthbound off-ramp closed 10pm – 5amfor permanent signage installation, line marking and barrier removal.

·      This closure will only take place if weather postpones earlier planned works 

·      Diversion via Northcote Rd southbound off-ramp

The above include contingency dates and diversion routes, which are subject to change. Work planned for adjacent junctions will be reviewed daily to ensure that no two consecutive over bridges or interchanges are closed at the same time and the correct diversions are in place.

Road users are requested to use the signposted detours whilst the closures are in operation.
