Deadline approaching for
environmental fund applications

Time is running out for Bay of
Plenty people and groups who are planning to apply to
Environment Bay of Plenty’s Environmental Enhancement
Fund.
The fund closes for applications on Monday 6 August at 4.30pm.
Environmental Enhancement Fund Officer Sandy Hohepa urges those who are working on applications to finish them off before the deadline.
“We often find that when people leave their applications to the last minute they make mistakes or forget to include important information,” she says. “But we especially don’t want people to miss the deadline altogether.”
The Environmental Enhancement Fund has contributed more than $5 million to several hundred projects since its launch seven years ago. It is one of the most significant initiatives of its type in New Zealand.
