This annual celebration of all things Pasefika includes cultural performance workshops, children's storytimes and a book review prize-draw.

Manukau Libraries Outreach Coordinator - Community Cultures, Elenoa Mo'a Sili, looks forward to Pasefika Week celebrations.

"The week is a great opportunity to profile the resources and services available to Pacific people at the library, such as books in Pasefika languages, newspapers and English as a Second Language books and tapes.

"Our libraries are also a great place for all Manukau's residents to find out more about Pasefika heritage, arts, culture and music", Elenoa says.

Along with the usual children's story-time sessions, this year libraries are running two Samoan performance workshops on the Sasa (seated Samoan action dance) conducted by Vision Dance Ltd.
