CMJ Traffic Bulletin July 22- 26

Transit New Zealand would like to advise motorists of proposed closures on the Central Motorway Junction over the next week for installation of Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) and repair work.

Full motorway closures:
Sunday 22 until Thursday 26 July – CLOSED – overnight from 10.30pm until 5.30am the following morning for lighting installation:
• Southern Motorway (SH1) between Symonds/Port/Wellesley and Wellington St on-ramp northbound


Ramp and link closures:
Sunday 22 until Thursday 26 July – CLOSED – overnight from 10.30pm until 5.30am the following morning for lighting installation:
• Southern Motorway (SH1) northbound link to Northwestern Motorway (SH16)

Sunday 22 until Thursday 26 July – CLOSED – overnight from 10.30pm until 5.30am the following morning for lighting installation:
• Southern Motorway (SH1) northbound to Nelson St off-ramp

Note: When the Newton Rd off-ramp is closed, the Northwestern to Northern Motorway (northbound) and Nelson St off-ramp will remain open and vice versa

Note: When the Port to North and Northwestern is closed, the Hobson on-ramp to Northwestern will remain open and vice versa

During these times motorists are requested to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in operation.

Transit New Zealand regrets any inconvenience caused.

In the event of inclement weather, the closures will be postponed to the next fine evening.
