Transit New Zealand advises motorists of next week's proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for Northern Busway construction (weather permitting).
MOTORWAY LANE CLOSURES:
Sunday 10 June (contingency 11 or 12 June)
SH1 southbound between Northcote Rd& Esmonde Rdclosed from 10pm until 5am for slip forming, water care & graffiti removal works
* Diversion via Esmonde Rd southbound on-ramp
Sunday 10 June (contingency 11 - 14 June)
SH1 southbound between Constellation Dr and Tristram Ave closed from 10pmuntil 5am for barrier deployment
* Constellation Dr southbound on-ramp will be closed 9pm – 5am
* Diversion via Tristram Ave southbound on-ramp
Tuesday 12 – Thursday 14 June
SH1 northbound between Onewa Rd& Esmonde Rd closed from 11pmuntil 5am the following morning for maintenance
* Diversion via Northcote Rd northbound on-ramp
RAMP AND LINK CLOSURES:
ONEWA RD
Onewa Rd southbound off-ramp closed for approximately 18 months for construction works
* Diversion via Northcote Rd off-ramp or Esmonde Rd southbound off-ramp
Sunday 10 – Thursday 14 June
Onewa Rd northbound and southbound on-ramps closed from 10pm until 5am the following morning for pedestrian footbridge erection, resurfacing and project works
* Diversion 10 June via Esmonde Rd northbound and southbound on-ramps
* Diversion 11 - 14 June via Northcote Rd southbound on-ramp
ESMONDE RD
Sunday 10 – Tuesday 12 June
Esmonde Rd northbound on-ramp closed from 9pm until 4am the following morning for maintenance
* Diversion via Akoranga Dr and Northcote Rd northbound on-ramps
Monday 11 June (contingency 12 - 13 June)
Esmonde Rd southbound on-ramp closed from 9pm until 5am for traffic loop installation
* Diversion via Northcote Rd southbound on-ramp
AKORANGA DR
Monday 11 June (contingency 12 - 13 June)
Akoranga Dr on-ramp northbound closed from 9pm until 5am for traffic loop installation
* Diversion via Northcote Rd northbound on-ramp
Tuesday 12 June
Akoranga Dr eastbound closed from 9pmuntil 5amfor traffic loop installation

NORTHCOTE RD
Sunday 10 - Monday 11 June
Northcote Rd southbound on-ramp closed from 9pm until 5am the following morning for slip forming works
* Diversion via Esmonde Rd southbound on-ramp
Tuesday 12 – Thursday 14 June
Northcote Rd northbound off-ramp closed from 11pm until 5am the following morning for water blasting
* Diversion via Tristram Ave northbound off-ramp
TRISTRAM AVE
Monday 11 June (contingency 12 - 14 June)
Tristram Ave southbound on-ramp closed from 9pm until 5am for barrier deployment
* Diversion via Northcote Rd southbound on-ramp
The above dates include contingency dates, and diversion routes are subject to change. Work planned for adjacent junctions will be reviewed daily to ensure that no two consecutive over bridges or interchanges are closed at the same time & the correct diversions are in place.
Road users are requested to use the sign posted detours whilst the closures are in operation.
