Free talks with authors are taking place this June at your local library.
Onehunga Community Library invites you to hear author John Reynolds on 6 June who will be talking about his book Uncommon Enemy and writing a first novel. Uncommon Enemy explores what life in New Zealand would have been like if it had been occupied by Nazis.
In this month’sGlengarry Writers in the Library event at the Central City Library on 12 June, you are invited to hear author Margit Brew talk about her book Scandinavian Footprints. As a fascinating account of the challenges of early settlement, Scandinavian Footprints documents a crucial part of New Zealand’s history during the economic depression of the 1870sand is of great interest to New Zealanders and Scandinavians alike. Margit Brew was born in Sweden and trained in New Zealand as a teacher.
ThisGlengarry Writers in the Library monthly series is presented in association with Whitcoulls.
Remuera Community Library is also hosting a homeopathy talk with Monique Lee on 6 June. The talk offers advice on how to find your way back to good health.
