Busway Traffic Bulletin: Saturday 19 to Friday 25 May

Transit New Zealand advises motorists of next week’s proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for Northern Busway construction (weather permitting).

NORTHCOTE RD – ONEWA RD
Sunday 20 – Tuesday 22 May
All SH1 lanes southbound from Northcote Rd to Onewa Rd – CLOSED - from 1am until 4am for a rolling block to relocate a gantry sign.

* Traffic will be held on the motorway for no longer than 15 minutes

* If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Wednesday 23 May

ONEWA RD
Sunday 20 – Wednesday 23 May
Southbound on-ramp from Onewa Rd to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from10pm until 5am the following morning for gantry works.

* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion route via Esmonde Rd southbound on-ramp

* If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Thursday 24 May

Wednesday 23 & Thursday 24 May
Northbound on-ramp from Onewa Rd to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 10pm until 5am the following morning for barrier relocation and paving works.

* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion route via Sylvan Ave

CONSTELLATION DR
Sunday 20 May
Southbound on-ramp from Constellation Dr to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 10pm until 5am for barrier deployment.

* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion route via Constellation Dr

* If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Monday 21 May

All SH1 southbound lanes between Constellation Dr and Tristram Ave – CLOSED - overnight from 10pm until 5am for barrier deployment.

* Motorists are advised to follow the diversion route via Constellation Dr southbound off ramp

* If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Monday 21 May

The above dates include contingency dates, and diversion routes are subject to change. Work planned for adjacent junctions will be reviewed daily to ensure that no two consecutive over bridges or interchanges are closed at the same time & the correct diversions are in place.

Road users are requested to use the sign posted detours whilst the closures are in operation.

Transit New Zealand apologises for any inconvenience caused.
