Busway Traffic Bulletin: Saturday 10 to Friday 16 March

Transit New Zealand advises motorists of next week’s proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for Northern Busway construction (weather permitting).

ONEWA RD
Sunday 11 March
Southbound on-ramp from Onewa Rd to SH1 - CLOSED - overnight from 10pm until 5am the following morning for barrier placement.
Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Sylvan Ave & Northcote Rd on-ramp
If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Monday 12 March

Wednesday 14 March
Southbound off-ramp from SH1 to Onewa Rd - CLOSED - overnight from 10pm until 5am the following morning for barrier placement.
Motorists are advised to use the Northcote Rd southbound off-ramp or follow the diversion via Shelly Beach Rd off-ramp & Curran St or Onewa Rd on-ramp northbound
If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on
Thursday 15 March

ESMONDE RD
Sunday 11 March
Esmonde Rd eastbound carriageway between Barrys Point Rd & Burns Ave - CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for line marking.
Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Barrys Point Rd
If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on
Monday 12 March.

Left hand turn from Barrys Point Rd onto Esmonde Rd - CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for line marking.
Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Burns Ave
If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on
Monday 12 March.

NORTHCOTE RD
Sunday 11 – Wednesday 14 March
Northbound off-ramp from SH1 to Northcote Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for lighting column installation.

-Motorists are advised to use the Esmonde Rd northbound off-ramp or follow the diversion via Tristram Ave off-ramp northbound

-If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above times, the closure will be on Thursday 15 March

If any of the contingency dates are required then all work planned for adjacent junctions will be reviewed to ensure that no two consecutive over bridges or interchanges are closed at the same time.

Road users are requested to use the sign posted detours whilst the closures are in operation.

Transit New Zealand apologises for any inconvenience caused.
