Busway Traffic Bulletin: Saturday 3 to Friday 9 March

Transit New Zealand advises motorists of next week’s proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for Northern Busway construction (weather permitting).

ONEWA RD Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 March All northbound SH1 motorway lanes between Onewa Rd and Northcote Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 11pm until 5am the following morning for the removal of a sign gantry. As part of this closure the northbound on-ramp from Onewa Rd to SH1 will also be closed from 10pm until 5am on the same days for barrier placement Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd on-ramp northbound If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closures will be on Wednesday 7 or Thursday 8 March

Wednesday 7 March Southbound on-ramp from Onewa Rd to SH1 - CLOSED - overnight from 10pm until 5am for barrier placement Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd on-ramp southbound If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Thursday 8 March

ESMONDE RD Sunday 4 March Northbound off-ramp from SH1 to Esmonde Rd - CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5am for paving works. Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote off-ramp northbound

Akoranga Dr eastbound link to Esmonde Rd - CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5am for paving works. Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd

Esmonde Rd westbound carriageway between Lake Rd and Barrys Point Rd - CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5am for paving works. Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Lake Rd

Southbound on-ramp from Esmonde Rd to SH1 - CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5am for paving works. Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd on-ramp southbound

Barrys Point Rd between Des Swann Dr & Esmonde Rd - CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5am for paving works. Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Burns Ave and Onewa Interchange

If unforeseen circumstances prevent work to the above closures, they will be on Monday 5 March

NORTHCOTE RD Monday 5 March Southbound on-ramp from Northcote Rd to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for barrier relocation. Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Esmonde Rd on-ramp southbound If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Tuesday 6, Wednesday 7 or Thursday 8 March

TRISTRAM AVE Sunday 4 & Tuesday 6 March Southbound on-ramp from Tristram Ave to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for barrier movements. Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd on-ramp southbound If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Monday 5 March

If any of the contingency dates are required then all work planned for adjacent junctions will be reviewed to ensure that no two consecutive over bridges or interchanges are closed at the same time.

Road users are requested to use the sign posted detours whilst the closures are in operation.

Transit New Zealand apologises for any inconvenience caused.
