Youth take justice into their own hands
“Youth take justice into their own hands”
In response to the incident on Friday night involving large numbers of riotous teenagers on the North Shore clashing with the Police, City Impact Church youth stood in stark contrast when they spontaneously converged in equally great numbers on the doorsteps of the North Shore Police Station on Sunday evening.
With rapturous applause as apposed to the venomous abuse the Police had received earlier that weekend, 150 - 200 City Impact Church Youth greeted Sergeant Ian Meeking and his team. Youth Pastor Mike Tonks, Sarah Adams, Loretta Russel and Steve Boardman all brought a personalised message of encouragement on behalf of the crowd of Youth for the work the Police do to protect their local community.
“Our Youth really want to invest into our community, and not take from it. We came here to show our police that there are teenagers who respect the job they do in protecting our community” says Pastor Greg Crawford, City Impact Church Youth Director.
