CMJ traffic bulletin: Sunday 4 March until Thursday 8 March
Transit New Zealand would like to advise motorists of proposed closures on the Central Motorway Junction over the next week for installation of Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) and repair work.
Full motorway closures:
Sunday
4 March – CLOSED – overnight from 10pm until 5.30am on
Monday for installation of signage:
Southern Motorway
(SH1) between Nelson St off-ramp and Fanshawe St on-ramp
northbound
Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 March – CLOSED –
overnight from 10.30pm until 5.30am the following morning
for installation of signage:
Southern Motorway (SH1)
northbound between Symonds/Port/Wellesley off-ramp and
Wellington St on-ramp
Tuesday 6 March – CLOSED –
overnight from 9.30pm until 5am the following morning for
installation of signage:
Southern Motorway (SH1)
between Cook St off-ramp and Hobson St on-ramp

Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 March – CLOSED –
overnight from 9.30pm until 5am the following morning for

from 12.30am until 5am on Friday for installation of
electronic sensors in the road surface:

During these times motorists are requested to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in operation.
Transit New Zealand regrets any inconvenience caused.
In the event of inclement weather, the closures will be postponed to the next fine evening.
