Busway Traffic Bulletin: Saturday 24 to Friday 2 March

Transit New Zealand advises motorists of next week’s proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for Northern Busway construction (weather permitting).

ONEWA RD Sunday 25 and Monday 26 February Southbound on-ramp from Onewa Rd to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 10pm until 5am the following morning for bore hole drilling.

- Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd on-ramp southbound

-If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Tuesday 27, Wednesday 28 February or Thursday 1 March

Monday 26 February All SH1 motorway lanes northbound between Onewa Rd and Northcote Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for gantry works.

-As part of this closure, the northbound on-ramp from Onewa Rd to SH1 will also be closed at the same time

-Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd on-ramp northbound

-If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Tuesday 27, Wednesday 28 February or Thursday 1 March

Tuesday 27 February Northbound off-ramp from SH1 to Onewa Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for barrier placement.

-Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Esmonde Rd off-ramp northbound

-If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Sunday 25, Monday 26 or Wednesday 28 February

ESMONDE RD Sunday 25 February Northbound off-ramp from SH1 to Esmonde Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for paving works. Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Northcote Rd off-ramp northbound If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Monday 26, Tuesday 27, Wednesday 28 February or Thursday 1 March

Sunday 25 February Akoranga Dr eastbound link to Esmonde Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for paving works.

Sunday 25 February Barrys Point Rd between Des Swann Dr and Esmonde Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for paving works.

NORTHCOTE RD Monday 26 & Wednesday 28 February Southbound off-ramp from SH1 to Northcote Rd – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for installation of ducts.

-Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Onewa Rd off-ramp southbound

- If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Tuesday 27 February or Thursday 1 March

Tuesday 27 February Southbound on-ramp from Northcote Rd to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for barrier movements.

CONSTELLATION DR Tuesday 27 February Southbound on-ramp from Constellation Dr to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for pavement works. Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Tristram Ave on-ramp southbound If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Wednesday 28 February

Tuesday 27 February Constellation Dr westbound between Home Pl and the motorway – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for pavement works. Motorists are advised to follow the diversion via Greville Rd and Sunset Rd If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above time, the closure will be on Wednesday 28 February

If any of the contingency dates are required then all work planned for adjacent junctions will be reviewed to ensure that no two consecutive over bridges or interchanges are closed at the same time.

Road users are requested to use the sign posted detours whilst the closures are in operation.

Transit New Zealand apologises for any inconvenience caused.
