Northcote Road on-ramp complete

As part of the Northern Busway Project, the new permanent southbound on-ramp at Northcote Road will open on Monday 19 February, allowing construction of a tunnel underneath to begin.

So this can happen, Northcote Road between Taharoto Road and the SH1 northbound on-ramp and both the southbound on- and off-ramps will be closed from 9pm Sunday 18 February until 5am Monday 19 February.

The completed ramp will open in its final position at 5am Monday 19 February.

If you are travelling in the Northcote Road area, please drive with caution and follow the signposted detours.

Temporary traffic signals outside Takapuna Normal Intermediate School will remain for some months while work to the footpath is completed.

The Northern Busway will open early 2008, providing the North Shore with a modern and efficient public transport system.
