Transit
New Zealand would like to advise motorists of proposed
closures on the Central Motorway Junction over the next week
for installation of Advanced Traffic Management System
(ATMS).
Full motorway closures:
Wednesday 7 and
Thursday 8 February – CLOSED – overnight from 9.30pm
until 5am the following morning for installation of
electronic sensors in the road surface:
•
Southern Motorway (SH1) between Fanshawe St off-ramp and
Hobson St on-ramp southbound
Ramp and link
closures:
Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8 February – CLOSED
– overnight from 12.30am until 5.30am the following
morning for installation of electronic sensors in the road
surface:
• Hobson St on-ramp to Southern
Motorway (SH1) southbound
Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8
February – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am on
Thursday for installation of electronic sensors in the road
surface:
• Southern Motorway (SH1) to Khyber
Pass Rd off-ramp northbound
• Hobson St on-ramp
to Northwestern Motorway (SH16) westbound
Wednesday 7 and
Thursday 8 February – CLOSED – overnight from 10.30pm
until 5am the following morning for installation of
electronic sensors in the road surface:

Northwestern Motorway (SH16) westbound to St Lukes
off-ramp
Sunday 4 February – CLOSED – overnight from
9pm until 5am on Monday for final road surfacing:
•
Northwestern Motorway (SH16) eastbound links to Port and
Southern Motorway (SH1) southbound
Wednesday 7 and
Thursday 8 February – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until
5am the following morning for final road surfacing:
•
Northwestern Motorway (SH16) eastbound off-ramp to northern
Motorway (SH1) northbound
Wednesday 7 and Thursday 8
February – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am the
following morning for final road surfacing:
•
Northwestern Motorway (SH16) eastbound off-ramp to Nelson
Street
During these times motorists are requested to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in operation.
Transit New Zealand regrets any inconvenience caused.
In the event of inclement weather, the closures will be postponed to the next fine evening.
